Synogize partnered with a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting young people across Australia to modernise its data platform and improve access to trusted, timely information. The organisation required a scalable data foundation that could centralise information from multiple systems, strengthen reporting capability, and support better service delivery across mental health, wellbeing, work, and study programs.
About the Client
Our client is a national not-for-profit organisation providing health and wellbeing support to young people aged 12 to 25 across Australia. Its services span mental health, physical health, alcohol and drug support, and work and study assistance.
The Challenge
The client’s legacy data platform had become increasingly complex, costly to maintain, and difficult to scale. Data was spread across multiple systems, making it challenging to deliver consistent reporting, analytics, and operational visibility.
There was also a need to centralise data from key platforms, including Dynamics 365, into a governed environment that could support long-term growth, automation, and improved decision-making.
Our Approach
Synogize worked closely with the client to redesign the data platform using Snowflake and Azure. The solution brought together data from Dynamics 365 and other sources into a centralised platform, with Azure Data Factory automating ingestion and Azure Data Lake Storage supporting efficient staging.
A metadata-driven framework was implemented to move data reliably from raw ingestion through to analytics-ready datasets, while maintaining governance, auditability, and data integrity. CI/CD deployment through Azure DevOps also helped create a more sustainable and future-ready operating model.
